StarFest® 2010 c/o Please address all questions concerning registration to Paul via email, or by phone at 703.478.2158. Please Note: Registering online is a two-part process. Part one is filling out the online registration form. Part two is submitting payment using the PayPal Shopping Cart buttons provided below. Your registration is not complete until you have done both. The online registration form is over one megabyte in size. If you are unable to open the form, please send an email to request a mail registration packet. Step 1: Complete the Online Registration Form. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. In a small number of cases, the Submit by Email has either not worked at all, or the email with the attached form data has been lost in transit. If the Submit by Email button does not work for you, please print your completed form and mail it to the registrar. If you do not receive an acknowledgement for a form submitted via email within three days, please contact the registrar. The PayPal shopping cart requires you to jump back and forth between PayPal and the StarFest® web site. We are looking for ways to make this easier. Step 2: Use the PayPal Shopping cart buttons below to submit your registration payment.
Event Book PatronSince we allow donations of any amount, we cannot include this option in the PayPal Shopping Cart used for StarFest® 2010 registration options. Event InformationHere is a Google Mashup showing event hotels and venue locations. Never done anything like this before? We've provided a web page with brief descriptions of StarFest® events. Please note: Even though a Rally is not required for a national event, the one included in StarFest® will follow the description in this list. Driving events will take place at Summit Point Motorsports Park. Banquets, technical seminars and the Concours d'Elegance will take place at Historic Jordan Springs. Other events will be held at venues in and around historic Winchester Virginia – see also the Winchester Visitors Center. A Little Side Note on Driving Events (and Insurance)Please Note: Cars entered in the Performance Driving School, Time Trials, and Acceleration Runs must pass a pre-event inspection. This inspection must be performed by a dealer or independent service facility no more than 30 days prior to the event. You must present your signed or stamped copy of the completed form to pass grid tech. This hyperlink will take you to a copy of the current MBCA Pre-Event Technical Inspection Form. When your car has passed the pre-event inspection put the signed or stamped form in your car, and be sure to bring it with you. Do not submit this form with your registration. Also, track rules require that drivers wear long-sleeve shirts and long pants while on the track, so be sure to bring some with you. 09/02 The Performance Driving School falls under the category of High Performance Driver Education (HPDE). Standard automobile policies from many insurance companies specifically exclude this type of activity, which means your vehicle may not be covered against loss or damage while participating in some StarFest® driving events on the track. We urge you to check with your insurance company to determine if your policy will cover you for HPDE activities. If your insurance policy excludes HPDE events, we have arranged with Lockton Affinity to make short-term policies providing HPDE coverage available. Please Note: While drivers spend a mimimal amount of time in Time Trials and Acceleration Runs, these activities are considered “Timed Events” and as such are excluded from the coverage provided by Locton Affinity HPDE insurance policies. If you still wish to get a quote and apply online, please use [ This Link ]. The process relatively painless, there's no obligation, and you can pay online if you choose to buy coverage. If you plan to participate in autocross or track events, please keep in mind the restriction of two registered drivers per car specified in §3.1.4 of the 2010 Events Rule Book. We are providing a Drivers Guide covering Summit Point circuit and a couple videos of Summit Point laps: Ben Weber (in the rain), and Steve Walters in PHINIX – the 1965 220SEb he drove in the modern La Carrera Panamericana. The track has undergone upgrades since the guide and videos were made. We will try to provide updates, but there may be minor differences when our event takes place. We are still working on the detailed schedule. You can use [ This Link ] to view a draft copy of the current detailed schedule.
Technical SeminarsWhile the Concours d'Elegance is going on at Historic Jordan Springs, we have also arranged for a series of technical seminars. These seminars will take place in one of the facilities on the Historic Jordan Springs grounds.
